Visiting Lecturer In English

Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for one full-time, non-tenure-track Visiting Lecturer in English for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

The successful candidate will teach in-person and online first-year composition courses:
English Composition I, English Composition II, and/or our co-requisite Composition I with Lab. Experience teaching first-year composition is expected.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • M.A. in English or comparable master's level degree

Desired qualifications

Substantial training in English Composition theories and pedagogies; training in basic writing instruction; and experience in multimodal composing and teaching writing and digital technologies.

AUM's Visiting Lecturer will teach a 4/4 load.
