Job Description:
Zone Coordinator Special Education
Qualifications:
- Current Alabama Teacher's Certification, Master's Degree or higher with an endorsement in Special Education
- Three years of experience in teaching special education students
- Knowledge of special education students
Essential Duties:
- To serve as zone coordinator for the special education programs
- To assist parents and teachers to develop and implement individualized education programs
- To assist the Director of Special Education in the implementation of and compliance with the Individual with Disabilities Education Act, Part B
- To provide instructional support to teachers
- To perform other related duties as assigned
- To establish a positive relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors
