Job Description
Faulkner University's College of Health Sciences is seeking a qualified individual for a teaching faculty position who desires to educate health care professionals in a Christ-centered environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching graduate level courses in the Occupational Therapy Doctoral Program, advising students and maintaining an active research agenda. We are seeking candidates who have a passion for student engagement and advancing the mission of the university and the college.
Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time, 12 month position. Faculty rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with academic qualifications, teaching experience, and research. Opportunities for clinical practice will be available.
Qualifications:
- Occupational therapist with a doctoral degree or terminal academic degree required (i.e. OTD, PhD, ScD, EdD or DSc).
- Licensed in the United States, licensure in the state of Alabama and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a licensed occupational therapist preferred
- Background in teaching occupational therapy at the graduate level preferred
