Duties and Responsibilities:
Build student schedules for SOPH-SR students, direct admit students, and transfers.
Use SIS to build schedules
Manage additions and schedule changes
Manage student advising meetings
Set times and appointments
Use scheduling software and EAB Navigate to schedule and manage appointments
Interface with EAB Navigate to enter student progress reports after advising appointments
Set times and appointments for advisees
Use scheduling software and EAB Navigate to schedule and manage appointments
Track student progress
Send student referrals for ancillary services (counseling, student accounts, financial aid, etc.)
Collaborate with Student Affairs to manage second year transition into academic units
Collaborate with ORR to manage gaps in second year handoff into academic units
Collaborate with Academic Advising Champions within units to disseminate pertinent
information to faculty advisors
Collaborate with Academic Success Coordinators
Complete monthly progress reports and submit to Academic Success Coordinators
Track number of visits and share progress report data
Collaborate for faculty and student-facing strategy development
Collect and curate most recent curriculum guides
Manage degree semester-by-semester degree audits
Use EAB Navigate to send alerts to students (deficiency alerts, updates, curriculum changes, etc.)
Coordinate with academic units to ensure curriculum guides are updated
Monitor software platform for outstanding change-in-major documents
Develop student-facing strategies to increase student engagement
Interface with marketing
Develop flyers and other engagement materials
Develop social media content
Coordinate advising days/dates/and events
Bachelor’s degree, 2 years of related experience, working knowledge of academic coaching, instructional and mentoring techniques to include traditional and online course practices and procedures, relevant trends, and processes the resources for organizing and leading group and collaborative activities.
