Job SummaryThe Utility Line Locating Trainer is responsible for all team trainings in the assigned area. This position is responsible for meeting customer expectations, motivating, leading, and training technicians. This includes upholding company policies with the help of the Area Manager, ability to run numbers and meet company requirements assigned to team in Safety, Quality, Production, and On Time Completion of Tickets.
EssentialFunctions
- Ability to train and mentor Technicians to achieve target levels for the success of the Team and the company.
- Responsible for tracking daily production numbers, approve hours, uphold company policy with help of Area Manager.
- Ability to create a team of Utility Locate Technicians to meet customer expectations and company goals to help achieve profitability.
- Ability to interview candidates and help in the decision making of new technicians.
- Meet daily audit and GPS requirements as well as ride exercise with technicians weekly.
- Position requires person to be in the field when team is in the field to provide help, as necessary.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions without causing liability to the company.
- Other duties that may be required as changes or customer requirements become known.
- Always maintain professional appearance and personal conduct.
- Experience is a must! 3 years line locating experience is preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Effective verbal and listening skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Must have/maintain a valid Driver’s license.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and random drug screening.
- Must be able to wear required PPE as assigned by HS&E Manager.
- Ability to work in extreme outdoor weather.
The Ideal candidate will be responsible for all field training in the Alabama area;
