DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will develop and maintaineffectivetechnology and lead projects to optimizeprocess and product capabilities, improve quality, productivity, and cost (yield) within the highly automated PLTCM/CPLto meet the business goals of AM/NSCalvert.

The Basics:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cold Rolling Mill field
• Background in major steel mill processes and products with in-depth knowledge of pickling and rolling processes and technology
• Knowledge of steel strip properties and applications
• Understanding steel sheet rolling and pickling process, process control, properties and metallurgy of steels.
• Demonstrates understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and process models.

The Extras:

• Advanced Technical knowledge of cold rolling and pickling process and flat carbon products.
• Strong Teamwork and a hands-on working approach.
• Advanced skills in data analysis, Statistics (design of experiments, data analysis and model formulation).

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Developing and maintaining an effective technical team responsible for CRM process technology and development.
• Leads major improvement projects, improving process and product capabilities, throughput, cost (yield), energy and environmental performance.
• Providing technical support for all CRM units, reporting process performance to Senior management, and managing/improving statistical systems that define product/process capabilities
• Developing/improving inspection and testing methods, driving functionality and performance of process models/control systems.
