Responsibilities
- Design operating logic for PLCs, robots, and HMIs.
- Simulate, test, and optimize equipment performance.
- Integrate third‑party equipment with our systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot Industrial Ethernet, IP addressing, and communication protocols.
- Interconnect machines and systems for reliable data exchange.
- Connect equipment to ERP, MES/MIS, and database systems.
- Implement data transfer, traceability, and data logging solutions.
- Apply software architecture principles to industrial integrations.
- Read and understand ladder logic; collaborate with automation/PLC teams.
- Participate in equipment commissioning and deploy solutions across North America.
- Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.

Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong programming experience with software and hardware integration experience.
- Understanding of industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, TCP/IP, CAN/J1939, etc.).
- Knowledge of PLC operation and ability to interpret ladder logic.
- Experience bridging machine‑level automation with IT systems.
- Familiarity with ERP/MES integrations, databases, and data‑flow design.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort in both IT and industrial environments.
- Willingness to travel for commissioning and customer deployment (up to 10%).
This is a Permanent position based out of Montgomery, AL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90,000.00 – $/yr.
