Key Performance Areas
- Support mechanical and hydraulic related architecture design for all product lines working closely with Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Systems Engineers to ensure integrated, optimized machine solutions.
- Supports production by diagnosing and solving problems related to hydraulic and/or mechanical systems.
- Develop catalog of mechanical and hydraulic components that support vehicle architecture.
- Responsible for mechanical assemblies, hydraulic schematics, and technical support documentation.
- Participate in the structuring, release, and maintenance of the assigned product lines: bills of materials, published technical specifications, and other related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
- Desire to learn product lines, attend training, participate in field visits and interface with customers.
- Develops, writes, and coordinates engineering deviations, change requests, change orders, and works to close items in a timely manner.
- Performs additional job-related duties and special projects, as assigned.
- Minimum 2-5+ years’ experience with mechanical‑hydraulic systems for off‑road, construction, rail, or forestry equipment preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Auto Desk Inventor and AutoCAD, PDM software and ERP/MRP software preferred.
This is a full‑time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or any other time agreed upon.
Work EnvironmentThe position operates in a professional office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use in addition to using standard office equipment such as computers, iPads, phones, copiers, printers, fax, scanner, and filing cabinets. The employee is occasionally exposed to high levels of noise, welding operations, non-temperature-controlled environments, and other typical to a heavy‑equipment manufacturing and warehouse environment. The use of proper PPE is required.
