Systems Engineer, Principal

Systems Engineer Principal – Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex, Montgomery, AL

• Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering processes, manage and sustain program technical baseline, and design and perform system level tests.
• Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, design and test results to ensure subsystem and system performance meets specifications.
• Prepare technical documents that define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics.
• Prepare management reports, conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action applying engineering economy principles.
• Perform validation of systems including development of criteria and procedures.
• Analyze and evaluate results of major engineering systems; provide system/program engineering support, technical training and oversight for acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, installation, and operations.

• Advanced Degree (MA/MS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another Engineering Discipline and 5 years of experience, 3 of which must be in the DoW.
• or, BA/BS Degree in the same fields and 7 years of experience, 4 of which must be in the DoW.
• or, 15 years of directly related experience with appropriate certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoW.
• Minimum 3 years experience developing, deploying, or maintaining operational cloud (Oracle, AWS, and/or Azure) environments with emphasis on federal or DoW systems (Gov Cloud, Cloud One).
• Cloud Certification preferred;
  CompTIA Security+ Certification preferred.
