Project Management and Planning Operations Manager

Position Overview

Project Management and Planning Operations Manager – Courtland, AL. Lead a team responsible for production planning and execution, supporting hypersonic missile production programs.

• Lead a team of Vehicle Integration Team (VIT) Leads, ensuring readiness and execution of integration and testing activities to meet internal operating and contractual schedules.
• Support and assist with the execution of TAKT time-based production implementation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Industrial Engineering, Material Resource Planning (MRP), and other support functions to ensure holistic execution of organization to meet current and future customer demand.
• Serve as the Performance Management Team (PMT) focal, overseeing accelerating performance excellence and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist AI&T Senior Manager with planning, staffing, and resource management.
• Act as Deputy Production Manager to the Conventional Prompt Strike Assembly, Integration, and Test Senior Manager, providing technical oversight and direction during absences.

• Interim Secret clearance required prior to start.
• Experience in Final Assembly Manufacturing, Ordnance, and/or Assembly, Integration, and Test environments.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities aligning with Full Spectrum Leadership (FSL) imperatives.
• High-volume/high-rate production experience.
• Willingness and ability to present to high-level customers and LM executives.
• United States citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in Ramp to Rate, Accelerated Production, and/or Automated Production environments.
• Team Leadership or Project Management Experience of a Multi-Functional/Discipline Team.
• Experience with defect trend analysis, root cause/corrective action.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Customers, Engineering, Material, Quality, and other functions.
• Lean Six Sigma / LM21 Certified (Green or Black Belt).
• Process Improvement experience.
• Performance Management Team (PMT) Lead experience.
• Financial estimating and planning cost account milestones experience.
• Knowledge of assembly/manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and/or test engineering.
• Experience with SAP, ePDM, CREO, CAMEO, Apriso, VECAMS, PMP Database, or Lockheed Martin Automation Framework Software.
• Excellent verbal communication and strong social skills; ability to build relationships with customers, program management, and team members.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Business Areas (Aeronautics, MFC, RMS, Space).
• Previous L-code/leadership experience.
• Industrial Engineering and scheduling experience.

Secret clearance required. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a Secret clearance.
