CFD Engineer
Full job description for a CFD Engineer. The role involves performing CFD analysis at system and component levels using software such as FloTHERM, 6
SigmaDC, 6
Sigma ET, and Ansys Fluent.
Engineer will conduct model checks, create parametric models with available CAD packages, and perform sensitivity analysis independently. They will generate CFD meshes, run steady or transient flow/thermal simulations, analyze results, and prepare clear reports. Responsibilities also include providing design improvement recommendations, supporting global product development opportunities, participating in fan operation and performance curve studies, flow bench and wind tunnel testing, temperature measurement and handling thermocouple sensors, driving virtual testing to reduce physical tests, and developing best practices for computational methods and hand calculations.
Qualifications- Full time ME/M.Tech with specialization in Thermal Engineering, Aerospace, or heat power from a reputed institute.
- Completion of Fluid Mechanics, CFD, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics courses during masters.
- Minimum 3 years CFD analysis experience (steady/transient, laminar/turbulence, multi‑phase flow, evaporation, etc.) using FloTHERM, 6
SigmaDC, and Fluent. - Experience in Ansys Icepack / Ansys Sherlock / Ansys Multiphase / Ansys Aeroacoustics is an added advantage.
- Comfortable working with Creo/Pro‑E for model checks.
- Knowledge about datacenter analysis will be an added advantage.
- Ability to interpret analysis results for base design and suggest modifications.
- Sound knowledge of fundamentals of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
