Responsibilities
- Set technical and product support directions and develop team members to support current and future program needs
- Support in-house and supplier activities in the design, fabrication, and continuous improvement of combustion device components for ULA and New Glenn customers
- Lead and promote process improvement and development activities across all phases of the component life cycle to support on-rate product delivery
- Responsible for the complete employee experience, including hiring, performance management, training, and providing tools for career development
- Help improve technical processes, requirements and tool development in the focused areas of engine test planning, execution, and engine development cycles
- Provide day-to-day direction and contribute to/lead component design, manufacturing, and test support
- Perform data reviews and test readiness reviews; support anomaly investigations and root cause analyses to drive corrective actions and hardware improvements
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical, or Physics preferred)
- 5+ years of aerospace industry or related field experience, or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment, producing and delivering hardware to meet customer needs
- Strong technical fundamentals in mechanical design, manufacturing, supply chain, and materials processing, including machining, welding, brazing, and additive manufacturing
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Demonstrated experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools
- Demonstrated experience leading Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Proven understanding of production processes
- Familiarity with data analysis and data processing
- Consistent track record of leading teams by earning trust and maintaining positive, professional relationships
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Demonstrates strong leadership in engineering teams, focusing on mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement in aerospace applications. Proficient in data analysis and CAD tools to enhance product delivery and support technical processes.
