Manufacturing Engineer

Hartzell Propeller is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production of advanced composite and metal aircraft propeller systems in Piqua, OH. In this on-site role, you will design, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities include developing work instructions and routings, specifying tooling and fixtures, supporting CNC and composite operations, and leading root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.

You will collaborate closely with design, quality, and production teams to launch new products, reduce variation and scrap, and uphold aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for composite and metal propeller components.
• Create and maintain routings, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Support day-to-day production, resolving quality and process issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive lean and continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, and throughput.
• Collaborate with design engineering on manufacturability and new product introduction.
• Specify tooling, fixtures, and equipment for precision manufacturing.
• Analyze production data to improve yield, reduce scrap, and control variation.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace, safety, and quality standards.
• Train production staff on new processes and best practices.
