Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Loan Operations Manager and Loan Review Supervisor, the Loan Review Specialist plays an integral role within the bank’s loan operations department, by helping maintain the integrity of the loan files through initial and continuous loan file reviews and monitoring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assuring customer service is top priority whether internally or externally; treating customers and employees professionally, with courtesy and respect
  • Reviews loan documents to ensure documentation is approved and in compliance with regulations and company policy
  • Ensure that loan reviews are completed by the assigned deadlines
  • Compares loan documents to loan system to ensure accuracy of input
  • Monitor and report technical exceptions and collateral lien perfections
  • Monitor and review loan maintenances
  • Provide loan support to staff
  • Index loan batches after documents are imaged
  • Work closely with Management, Relationship Managers and Lending Assistants to perfect the loan file.
  • Prepare miscellaneous reports/data to Management as requested
  • Special projects and/or other duties as assigned by Management
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years of Lending Assistant or Customer Service Representative experience preferred

  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and complete annual compliance training applicable to the position

Physical Demands

The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee will regularly sit; talk; hear; and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee will occasionally stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Special vision requirements include close, distant, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
