Job Description
Credit Products Commercial Portfolio Analyst provides analytical support to Credit Products Commercial Portfolio Managers. The analyst gathers information and performs in‐depth research to identify, quantify, and mitigate underwriting risk inherent in extending the bank’s capital. The analyst develops strong working relationships with client management, internal teammates, credit officers, and other bankers.
Primary Responsibilities- Prepare credit approval packages on new and renewed credit products, including determination of the appropriate risk rating, risk factors that could change the risk rating, analysis of financial performance, performance vs. projections, covenant compliance, relationship profitability (RAROC), and other significant risk drivers.
- Provide analysis of guarantors as needed to support credit underwriting.
- Assist Credit Products Commercial Portfolio Managers with review of loan documents pre‑closing.
- Review closing due diligence in collaboration with and oversight by Credit Products Manager.
- Maintain credit files, including post‑closing items; actively manage financial reporting requirements, covenant requirements, past dues and documentation exceptions, and ensure credit files are complete and up to date.
- Assist with tickler implementation and maintenance.
- Monitor portfolio and servicing activities in conjunction with Shared Services support.
- Validate the appropriate risk rating for a company and proactively identify risk rating changes.
- Identify opportunities for exposure reduction or new opportunities within the assigned portfolio.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of and insure compliance with internal bank commercial loan policy and credit risk procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Preferred:
Master of Business Administration (MBA). - Two (2) years of experience in commercial underwriting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multi‑task.

CompensationPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. The position is incentive eligible. The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for the location and level of the position.
