Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT(CT) certification and strong trauma and angiogram experience for a full-time day shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based radiology department at a Level II Trauma Center
- Serve adult and occasional pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Average of 4 patients per hour, with 1:1 patient ratios
- Primary procedures include trauma, angiogram, and stroke perfusion studies
- Use GE CT equipment and Cerner EMR—prior experience preferred
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Float throughout the main radiology department as needed
- Weekend rotation is typically once a month, subject to departmental needs
- Holiday coverage required per hospital policy, typically one major and one minor holiday
- Main responsibilities include performing CT studies for trauma, angiogram, and stroke cases
- Orientation includes one 8-hour hospital session and 2–3 dayshift shifts with a preceptor
- Voluntary call available
- Scrub uniforms in any color permitted
- Free parking provided
- A 60-mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered
- Candidates who were permanent staff must wait 6 months before returning as travelers
- Active ARRT and ARRT(CT) certification required
- BLS certification required
- State license preferred; license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT experience with required skills
- First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years' experience
- Strong trauma and angiogram skills required
- Stroke perfusion experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR and GE CT equipment preferred
