This is an on‑site contract position, located in Montgomery, AL, for a Licensed Professional Counselor. The counselor will work closely with clients to provide individual, couples, or family counseling using evidence‑based therapeutic approaches. Day‑to‑day tasks include assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, maintaining client records, and supporting clients in their journey toward improved mental health and well‑being. Providing culturally sensitive care and fostering a safe, welcoming environment for clients is an essential aspect of the role.
Qualifications- Strong clinical skills in counseling, including experience with trauma‑informed therapy, addressing depression, anxiety, and relationship issues
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
- Proficiency in treatment planning, client assessment, and record‑keeping
- Commitment to promoting cultural sensitivity and understanding in therapeutic practice
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Alabama
- Previous experience counseling individuals, couples, or families is preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members
