Preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience providing ABA services

Job Goals:

Collect and document behavioral data, including ABC data, baseline data, and ongoing measurements, under the direction of the supervising BCBA. Ensure data are accurate and timely, communicate relevant behavioral observations, and assist with organizing and reviewing data for FBAs and behavior support.

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans and treatment procedures developed by the supervising BCBA, including reinforcement, prompting, antecedent strategies, replacement behaviors, and skill generalization. Follow approvedcrisisandsafetyprocedureswhilemaintainingprofessionalboundaries and working within the RBT scope of practice

Qualifications

• Associate Degreeortwoyearsofhighereducationorsuccessfulpassageofthe Work Keys test, is required.
• Obtain 40 hours of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training as assigned
• Successfully complete the RBT competency assessment
• Pass RBTexam
• Experienceworkingwithchildrenoradolescentswithdevelopmentaldisabilities and/or significant behavioral needs
• Able to manage students independently, ifneeded.
• Abilitytounderstandandapplybehavioralstrategiesandtechniqueswith elementary/high school-age students
• Ability to efficiently use technology
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration withBCBA,teachers,students,othersupportpersonnel,parents, andothers

• Underthedirectionandsupervisionofthedistrict Board Certified Behavior  Analyst (BCBA), implement and perform tasks related to behavior.
• Collect daily behavior data as assigned by the BCBA or classroom teacher
• Provide direct student care in a 1:1 or group setting
• Followbehaviorinterventionplanstofidelityandfollowindividualizededucation plans
• Assistclassroomteachersandinstructionalassistantswithimplementing behavior intervention plans
• Assistclassroomteachersandbehavioranalystsinthepreparation ofstudent materials
• Participate in professional development activities as assigned
• Provideexemplaryleadershipthroughhands-ontrainingandmodelingofethical conduct
• Teach social skills lessons to include replacement behavior lessons
• Provide student with appropriate sensory and/or behavioral breaks asneeded
• Maintainstrictconfidentialityofstudentinformationasrequiredby Federal Laws  (IDEA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act)
• Performs otherjob-related dutiesandresponsibilitiesasassigned bythe Supervisor(s).

The employee will be required to complete Managing Crisis Safely (MCS) training as well as other crisis management training as assigned by the district. The RBT may be required to provide physical support, including the use of approved physical intervention or restraint procedures, when necessary and in accordance with the student's individualized plan, district policies, and required training.

The employee must be able to regularly sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects, equipment, and controls. The position frequently requires talking and hearing and may occasionally require reaching, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, and kneeling. The employee must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific visual abilities required include near and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
