Registered Behavior Technician

Duties And Responsibilities

• Use discrete trial teaching, natural environment teaching, and behavioral skills training to address language/communication/social/coping skills acquisition goals for students
• Assist the BCBA with conducting practical functional assessments
• Implement the skill-based treatment model protocols for addressing severe problem behavior
• Collect data for functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plan progress monitoring
• Communicate student progress and needs with the BCBA
• Provide follow up training, support, and modeling of behavior intervention plan strategies for teachers
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement behavior support plans for students that require consistent and significant behavioral support during the school day
• Provide crisis intervention assistance and de-escalation as needed
• Performs other job associated duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Registered Behavior Technician certified
• Minimum 3 years' experience
