Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join our team as Room Attendant.

• Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens.
• Clean multiple rooms daily (changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures).
• Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies.
• Cleans corridors and stairways.
• Sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture; washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and ashtrays; transports trash to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies; replaces light bulbs.
• Scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls and bathroom fan.
• Completes a quality check on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors.
• Removes items left behind from room and processes with Lost and Found as per hotel procedure.
• Reports maintenance-related problems to the maintenance department through proper communication channels.
• Uses supplies and equipment carefully and efficiently.
• Proper uniform must be worn at all times.
• Achieves a room inspection score of 90% or higher.
• Gives a pleasant greeting to each guest.
• Has thorough knowledge of in-house products and local area information to assist guests when needed.
• Maintains cart organization and timely stocking after completing rooms.
• Supports team in keeping the commercial area clean and neat.
• Responds to housekeeping supply requests within 10 minutes.
• Uses guest name when entering an occupied room.
• All vacant rooms are checked daily for status accuracy.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and organized supply room.
• Displays a team attitude and assists co-workers as needed.

• Ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English; communicate with team members and guests.
• Ability to follow simple, one- or two-step instructions; comply in standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Regularly stand; use hands to handle, feel objects, and operate controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently walk, climb or balance, and talk or hear.
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Close, distance, and color vision required.
• Able to work in mentally and physically stressful situations.

• Professional and energetic demeanor.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
  
  four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred, but not required.
