Hotel Guest Room Attendant

If this is what you’re all about, consider joining our Team. Ascent Hospitality is looking for a uniquely qualified hospitality leader to join our team as Room Attendant.

• Clean guest rooms and assist with cleanliness of guest floors and hallways; maintain cleanliness of public areas and restrooms in the hotel.
• Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens; cleans multiple rooms daily (changing sheets, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures).
• Replenish supplies (drinking glasses, writing supplies, bathroom supplies) and replace light bulbs as needed.
• Clean corridors, stairways, rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, walls, and windows; scrub bathroom floors and vanity, toilet, mirrors, and bathroom fan.
• Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays; transport trash to disposal area.
• Report maintenance-related problems to the maintenance department; follow proper hotel procedures for Lost and Found items.
• Maintain organization of supply room and keep carts stocked; respond promptly to guest needs for housekeeping supplies (within 10 minutes).
• Greet guests courteously and use guest names when entering occupied rooms; communicate product knowledge and local area information as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including completing room inspections and quality checks on televisions, telephones, AC, and smoke detectors.
• Adhere to uniform standards and demonstrate teamwork to keep areas clean and neat.

• Ability to understand, read, write, and speak basic English; effective communication with team members and guests.
• Ability to follow simple, standardized instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work shifts; strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• High school education or equivalent preferred; four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred but not required.

• Regularly stand; use hands to handle, feel, or manipulate objects; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; walk, climb, balance, and talk or hear.
• Lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Close, distance, and color vision requirements.
• Ability to work in mentally and physically demanding situations.
