The HR Generalist supports the daily functions of the Human Resources department, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll support, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and leaders, ensuring HR policies and programs are consistently applied while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & HR Support- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and supervisors.
- Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Support investigations and resolution of employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Partner with managers on performance management and corrective action processes.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles.
- Coordinate interviews, offers, background checks, and onboarding processes.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruiting metrics.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment and changes.
- Support open enrollment processes and employee communications.
- Partner with payroll to ensure accurate employee data and timekeeping.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and compensation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Support policy development and updates as needed.
- Coordinate training programs and compliance training.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and retention efforts.
- Assist with performance review cycles and development planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, corporate, or multi-site environments (if applicable).
