Job Description Overview

The Department of Business Administration in the College of Business at Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) seeks qualified faculty candidates for a one‑year, non‑tenure track visiting assistant professor position in human resource management. This is a full‑time, nine‑month position requiring a completed doctoral degree in Human Resources Management or Management. The role may be renewed beyond the 2026‑2027 academic year. Applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior, with a primary teaching load of seven 3‑hour courses spread over the fall and spring semesters.

Qualifications
  • Completed doctoral degree in Human Resources Management or Management.
  • Strengths in undergraduate teaching.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to promoting and enhancing inclusion.
  • Terminal degree appropriate for the discipline.
Desirable Characteristics
  • Practical field experience in human resources.
  • Knowledge of and activity in the Society of Human Resource Management organization.
  • Competencies in the application of AI in Human Resource Management.
