Visiting Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management

Overview

The Department of Business Administration in the College of Business at Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) seeks qualified faculty candidates to fill a one‑year, non‑tenure track visiting assistant professor position in human resource management. This is a full‑time, nine‑month position requiring a completed doctoral degree in Human Resources Management or Management. The role may be renewed beyond the 2026‑2027 academic year. Applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior with a primary responsibility of excellent teaching at the undergraduate level for a load of seven 3‑hour courses spread over the fall and spring semesters.

• Teach undergraduate courses in Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior.
• Deliver high quality instruction and maintain student engagement throughout the semester.

• Terminal doctoral degree appropriate for the discipline.
• Demonstrated strengths in undergraduate teaching.
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
• Commitment to promoting and enhancing inclusion.
• Practical field experience in human resources (desirable).
• Knowledge of and activity in the Society of Human Resource Management organization (desirable).
• Competencies in the application of AI in Human Resource Management (desirable).
