MOBIS North America electrified Powertrain LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, which are vital parts to produce electric vehicles, based on state-of-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.
Position SummaryThe Assistant Manager of Human Resources helps lead day-to-day HR operations for MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC (MNAe). Working closely with the Human Resources Manager, this position supports team members and leaders across the organization, provides practical guidance on employee matters, and helps ensure HR processes are handled consistently, accurately, and on time. The role is especially focused on recruiting, attendance and leave administration, performance management, payroll and benefits coordination, HR systems, compliance, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Support the Human Resources Manager in carrying out HR priorities and ensuring policies, programs, and procedures are applied consistently across the organization.
- Serve as an accessible HR resource for team members, supervisors, and managers by providing clear guidance on policies, attendance, conduct, performance expectations, and workplace concerns.
- Review matters promptly and objectively, maintain thorough documentation, and work with leadership to determine appropriate next steps.
- Coordinate recruiting and hiring activities for hourly and salaried positions, including requisitions, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, offers, pre-employment requirements, orientation, and onboarding.
- Coordinate HR activities related to payroll, timekeeping, attendance, benefits, leave administration, and employee status changes, checking records and approvals for accuracy and timeliness.
- Support new-hire orientation, required compliance training, leadership development, and other learning programs; maintain accurate participation and completion records.
- Prepare and review HR reports, audits, and workforce metrics to identify trends, resolve recurring issues, and recommend practical process improvements.
- Maintain confidential personnel records and ensure HR data, forms, and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, secure, and retained appropriately.
- Stay informed of applicable employment requirements and help keep MNAe policies, forms, notices, and HR practices current.
- Support investigations, audits, employee communications, engagement activities, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Safety, Payroll, Finance, and other departments.
- Provide HR coverage across shifts as business needs require and serve as the department lead when the Human Resources Manager is unavailable or assigns that responsibility.
- Handle other responsibilities that support team members, operational needs, and HR department goals.
Provides daily guidance and support to assigned HR team members, helps balance workloads and priorities, and follows up to ensure commitments are completed accurately and on time.
