Overview

Torch Technologies is seeking an Applications Software Senior located at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex in Montgomery, AL, within the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES), to support the Base Maintenance:
Integrated Maintenance Data System Central Database (IMDS CDB), Maintenance Scheduling Application Tool (MSAT), and Tool Accountability System (TAS). IMDS CDB is an Air Force enterprise-level automated maintenance management information system for weapon systems. This position supports GBM.

The Applications Software Senior shall advise and support work that involves the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software. The functions required to be performed in this specialty may include:

• Following/leading an Agile methodology, e.g., scrum, Kanban, XP, and hybrid.
• Analyzing and refining systems requirements.
• Translating systems requirements into applications prototypes.
• Planning and designing systems architecture.
• Determining and designing applications architecture.
• Determining output media/formats.
• Designing user interfaces and system interfaces.
• Working with customers to test applications.
• Assuring software and systems quality and functionality.
• Integrating hardware and software components.
• Writing, reviewing, and maintaining program documentation.
• Evaluating new application software technologies such as containerization and the use of Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, configuration as code, microservices, standard APIs, CI/CD, and maximizing the automation of the SDLC.
• Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services.
• Managing interface agreements and updates to user documentation by providing interface and user documentation support.

• U.S. Citizen
• Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD
• OR bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD
• OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD.
• CompTIA Security+ Certification (desired)
