Description
What We’re Doing:
Strategy and Business Development (S&BD) position for the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC) Army and Air Force Systems organization, with a focus on working with our US Army customer on ways to improve the Black Hawk, with rapid capability insertion and upgrades/modifications to UH‑60M and UH‑60L variants.
- Create, maintain, and expand relationships with US Army, government labs, acquisition customers, and warfighters to gain a detailed understanding of their near-, mid-, and long-term capability gaps to inform capability and capability roadmap solutions.
- Develop a deep knowledge of customer desires, and act as our external customers’ advocate within LM Sikorsky.
- Identify, qualify, pursue, and capture new business opportunities that advance next generation Lockheed Martin (LM) technology and increase Army war fighting capability by integrating emerging capabilities and modernizing the BLACK HAWK fleet.
- Coordinate and lead cross-organization teams to advance LM’s approach to capability development, demonstration, and transition. Support initiatives to define and demonstrate solutions for Black Hawk mission expansion and Joint All-Domain Operations in company and customer exercises.
- Define and lead operational analysis efforts to identify and validate advanced system solutions to solve customer needs and fill capability gaps.
- Lead development/implementation of go‑to‑market strategies for next generation technologies. Work closely with Sikorsky’s Advanced Concepts team to transition developing technologies and concepts to programs of record.
- Work with customers and internal stakeholders to shape approaches to upgrade the UH‑60M fleet through commercial modification, to consistently deliver mission-ready aircraft back to the fleet, ensuring operational dominance for decades to come; and develop strategies to maximize the utility of the UH‑60L fleet beyond their initial US Army service.
- Collaborate with multi-functional colleagues to position LM for mid‑and long‑term capture opportunities by driving future concepts, requirements, product strategies, investments, and partnering opportunities.
- Manage New Business Fund accounts (Market Assist, Bid and Proposal, Internal Research and Development).
- Develop, review, and execute capture and customer engagement plans in support of current and next generation opportunities.
- Develop strategies and proposals with Capture Managers, Program Managers, and Technical Subject Matter Experts and brief them to Sikorsky Executives and Rotary and Mission System Leadership.
- Assist in development of product and technology roadmaps.
- Provide timely and high quality staff work, including but not limited to presentations, white papers, activity reports, meeting notes, call plans and trade show support.
- Conduct all business in strict compliance with all corporate command media and applicable state, federal, and international regulations.

Basic Qualifications- Knowledge of rotary wing platforms, operations, architectures, functionalities and capabilities.
- Experience analyzing Army requirements, future operational needs, and identifying technology solutions.
- Ability to develop/carry out a strategy and convert to a successful execution.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and lead several initiatives at a time with minimal supervision.
- Prior experience interfacing with and briefing senior industry and customer executives.
- A high degree of flexibility and the ability to travel when required.
- Detailed understanding of Army Aviation.
- Deal closer – must be highly effective at bringing tasks and projects to a successful and timely conclusion.
- Solid grasp of Army Aviation requirements and operational concepts. Ability to lead operations analysis.
- Superior awareness of, and ability to effectively interact with, current and potential US Army customers and stakeholders.
