Instructors will provide professional military education instruction to officers in the US Air Force and other servicesinthe application of airpowerinjoint and/or combined military operations.
Inalmost allcases,instruction will be delivered online.
Upon hiring, instructors willbe required to complete initial faculty development instruction and other requirements to beidentifiedby the Air Force Global College (AFGC). The AFGC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and provides competentcontractorand government faculty qualified toaccomplishthe organization’s goals and mission.
- Proof of deep knowledge ofair power including
Air, Space, and Cyber Superiority;
Global Strike;
Rapid Global Mobility;
Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance; and Command and Controlof Air operations - Completion of Intermediate Developmental Education (IDE) and/or Senior Developmental Education. Resident completion preferred butnotrequired.
- JPME Phase I and/or Phase II
- Master’sdegree or higherinmilitary science, military history, or any other discipline relevant to military operations.
- Successful completion ofinitialfaculty development and any otheradditionalrequirementsidentifiedby AFGC
- Assignments inany of the followingareasespecially duringa deployment:
- Joint and/or Combined Air Operations Center
- Wing Weapons/Tactics
- Flight Commander or higher in fighter, bomber, space, cyber, air battle manager, or airborne command and control
- Air expeditionary unit/task force leadership
- Service onany of the following staffs:
Air Force Forces (AFFOR) or Air Force Component Commander in the Directorate of Mobility Forces, Space Forces, or Cyber Forces - Prior online teaching experience (military or civilian) is a strong plus.
