Position: Assistant United States Attorney

Our mission is to enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States, provide Federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime, seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior, and to administer and enforce the Nation's laws to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans. These positions are located in Montgomery, AL.

Required Qualifications
  • Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 1 year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience.
  • You must be a United States Citizen or National.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred qualifications include felony jury trial experience.
  • Applicants must also demonstrate superior analytical ability.
  • Applicants must have strong research, writing, and courtroom skills.
  • Applicants must independently exercise fair and sound judgment.
  • Applicants must follow all Department of Justice and United States Attorney's Office policies.
  • Applicants must exhibit the ability to work in a supportive and professional manner with other attorneys, support staff, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Applicants must interact professionally and effectively with opposing counsel.
  • Applicants must handle matters in court persuasively and justly on behalf of the United States of America.
  • Applicants must be devoted to excellence.
