Procurement Specialist

Hartzell Propeller is seeking a Procurement Specialist to source and manage materials for advanced aircraft propeller manufacturing in Piqua, OH. You will execute purchase orders, negotiate pricing and terms, qualify and manage suppliers, monitor inventory levels, and ensure on time delivery to support production schedules. Partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will maintain data accuracy in ERP systems, drive cost savings, and support continuous improvement while upholding Hartzell's culture of safety, quality, and innovation in global aviation.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, components, and services to support aircraft propeller manufacturing schedules.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and risk, including qualification and ongoing evaluation.
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders, ensuring accurate data in ERP/MRP systems.
• Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and demand signals to prevent shortages and excess stock.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to align procurement with technical and production needs.
• Analyze spend, market trends, and cost drivers to identify savings and continuous-improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable aerospace and trade requirements.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and invoicing in a timely manner.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes with timely sourcing and material readiness.
