Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Retail Manager is responsible for managing the reconfiguration of finished goods to meet retail customer requirements while ensuring accurate and on-time shipments in the most cost-effective manner. Responsible for the efficient and timely completion of retail activities, including labeling, tagging, hanging, repacking, and constructing merchandisers. Develops a world-class team by hiring, training, motivating, appraising, disciplining and challenging team members.
Specific ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to team members. Direct and coordinate department activities with the assistance of subordinate supervisors. Assign work responsibilities, provide instructions, prepare schedules, set deadlines and disseminate policy. Resolve issues as they arise.

Plan department activities and monitor the status of work in progress by consulting with supervisors and analyzing reports, records and directives. Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficiency.

Develop, train, and evaluate employees; develop flexible work force that can respond quickly to changing customer/distribution requirements; coach and help employee’s with Job duties.15%

Develop and complete management reporting on department activities.5%
Monitor and analyze department costs. Prepare budget recommendations for management.

Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management, a related field, or equivalent years of related work experience
- Lean Six Sigma or professional supply chain management certification a plus
- Strong understanding of receipt, storage, retrieval, order processing/fulfillment, full case and pick pack order make up, and transportation shipping methods
- Strong background in automated inventory control management systems and integration processes
- Strong leadership skills; ability to train and develop employees
- Strong safety focus and experience
- Solid Microsoft Office skills
- 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment utilizing wireless barcode scanning
- 3+ years of combined team lead or management experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
