We are currently hiring for a Contracts Manager in the Huntsville, AL area. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your contract management knowledge within all phases of a project, while gaining experience on a multi-billion-dollar pharmaceutical and life sciences project.
The Contracts Manager is a client facing role providing contract drafting, editing, negotiating and review, ensuring terms and conditions are consistent within the areas of the business. The Contracts Manager will also be responsible for all aspects of procurement, contracts, claims and risk management for various delivery methods.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Preparation of procurement documents such as Request for Qualifications, Request for Proposals and Request for Bids.
- Strong understanding of contracting process and contract issues, design, procurement and construction regulations and terms and conditions.
- Prepare scoring criteria and interview design and construction firms.
- Ability to analyze and review Qualifications/Proposals/Bids and provide advice and recommendations to the client.
- Ability to analyze and negotiate contract requirements and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with client's requirements, corporate policies, appropriate laws and regulations.
- Timely review and negotiations of all contracts, change orders, modifications and amendments.
- Ensure that all contract changes are recorded and communicated with the appropriate staff.
- Manage complex contracts independently.
- Manage and mentor other staff both junior and senior.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and initiative.
- Implement and maintain contract tracking processes and policies.
- Manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines.
- Appropriately manage external relations with various third-party entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attendance at work during normal business hours.
- Experience drafting RFQ/RFPs; and onboarding design firms, general contractors, construction managers and other third-party vendors.
- Experience in different procurement methods, at minimum:
Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and Construction Management at Risk. - Proficient in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing AIA Contracts for design and construction.
- Experience leading teams, both internal and external.
Education and Experience
- Education:
Relevant degree such as Bachelor's and College Degree in Business, Management, Law, Finance, Education, MBA, Administration, Business/Administration, Engineering, Government or equivalent experience. - Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Contracts Manager within the AEC industry.
The salary range for this full-time role is $-$ per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
