Salary Information
Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and Montgomery Personnel Board Rules & Regulations
Nature of WorkThis trainee-level job class is designed for individuals beginning their careers in a targeted field and involves performing a wide range of professional-level positions. The position requires a degree in the targeted job field. The employee will work under direct supervision for a period of time (up to two years) until the employee meets the minimum qualification of the targeted position.
After becoming qualified, the employee will be eligible for promotion.
Must have a post‑high school degree in the assigned position.
NOTE:
Employees hired as a professional trainee will work no more than two (2) years to be eligible for promotion.
