Full-Time
We are supporting a fast‑growing AI infrastructure business delivering large‑scale data centre campuses designed for high‑performance computing and next‑generation AI workloads. This is a senior build leadership role, not a facilities operations role. The Campus Director / Snr Construction Delivery Director will take overall responsibility for the delivery of a major AI data centre campus, coordinating construction, project controls, procurement, legal, utilities, safety, community engagement, and handover into operation.
Think of this as the conductor of the entire orchestra. The role sits above day‑to‑day construction management and requires someone who can drive a multi‑billion‑dollar campus from site readiness through construction, commissioning, and final handover.
RoleYou will lead the full campus build strategy and execution, ensuring schedule, cost, quality, safety, utilities, permitting, and stakeholder alignment are all managed properly. This is a role for someone who has delivered major capital projects and understands the pressure, complexity, and accountability that comes with hyperscale construction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead overall delivery of a major AI data centre campus
- Own construction execution across GC, subcontractor, tenant fit‑out, external works, and utility interface
- Establish and manage baseline schedules, milestone plans, early access dates, equipment readiness, and RFS targets
- Support procurement strategy, contractor selection, LNTP/AIA contracting, GMP negotiations, and commercial reviews
- Build and lead the owner‑side campus execution team, including project managers, superintendents, safety, external affairs, and support functions
- Establish project controls, reporting, governance, and leadership updates
- Drive EHS, quality control, and construction delivery standards
- Coordinate with utility providers to align infrastructure delivery with campus construction requirements
- Support permitting, municipality engagement, roads, traffic, logistics, workforce accommodation, and local stakeholder management
- Act as the technical project representative for legal agreements, construction contracts, utility agreements, and tenant‑related project matters
- Work closely with leadership to keep the project aligned commercially, technically, and operationally
- 15+ years of experience delivering large‑scale data centre, mission critical, industrial, or major infrastructure projects
- Strong background in build delivery, not just operations
- Experience leading multi‑disciplinary construction teams across engineering, safety, commissioning, vendor management, project controls, and contractor delivery
- Proven ability to manage large capital budgets, major contractors, and multiple work streams across a campus environment
- Strong understanding of critical systems, including electrical, mechanical, cooling, BMS/EPMS, UPS, generators, and commissioning interfaces
- Ability to manage complex schedules, commercial risk, utility coordination, and executive‑level reporting
- Experience working with municipalities, permitting bodies, utility providers, and local stakeholders
- Hyperscale data centre experience is a must
- PMP, PE, master’s degree, LEED, or data centre‑related certifications would be advantageous
This is a genuine senior leadership role on one of the most important infrastructure build‑outs in the AI/data centre market. You will not be joining a maintenance or steady‑state operations environment. You will be leading the build of a major campus, shaping the delivery team, managing key interfaces, and driving the project through construction into operational readiness. This would suit someone who has already led large, complex builds and wants to be at the centre of the next wave of AI infrastructure delivery.
