Overview
The Operational Team Lead (Production) will oversee and guide a team of production employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of quality in a fast-paced automotive accessories manufacturing facility. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to drive team success.
Shift HoursMonday–Thursday 6:30 AM to 5:15 PM
Core Functions- Partner with Leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughput.
- Collaborate with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; develop employee knowledge in multiple skill sets.
- Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date.
- Assist with ensuring accurate inventory levels for all parts needed for production.
- Effectively communicate maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as needed.
- Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets.
- Serve as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees, functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounter.
- Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education required.
- 2-3 years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities.

- Team Lead Role:
Working with team members who coordinate, support, train, and are a knowledge resource for other team members. No direct reports or supervisory responsibility.
- This position is subject to Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- This position is subject to the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
- The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
