Maintenance Team Member - Electrical

Our innovations include new Jet-A engines, the CD-170 and CD-300. This description outlines the responsibilities, qualifications, and expectations for the Electrical maintenance role.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoots and repairs magnetic panels, digital interfaces, NC and CNC machine tool controls, drives, servos, and electrical sub-systems.
- Troubleshoots and repairs printed circuit boards to the component level.
- Designs, modifies, installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical systems throughout the facility.
- Creates, adds, modifies, and rewrites PLC programming for the facility equipment.
- Ensures that all electrical and electronic work conforms to blueprints, specifications, and guidelines and meets or exceeds OSHA, NEC, and NFPA-78 standards.
- Uses oscilloscopes, frequency counters/generators, meg-ohm meters, waveform monitors, multimeters, computer-aided circuit design, diagnostic software, and computers to maintain equipment.
- Requisition s tools, electrical equipment, components, and supplies to ensure timely repairs.
- Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on production and facilities equipment and recommends additional maintenance to optimize safety.
- Assists other maintenance personnel in diagnostics and repair of equipment.
- Evaluates electrical prints and circuitry of new or proposed equipment to ensure safety and serviceability; recommends changes where applicable.
- Maintains strong interpersonal skills, work ethic, dependability, and a positive team attitude.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a skills assessment examination.
- Journeyman’s Card or equivalent from a recognized state or trade organization and two (2) additional years of experience in electrical or electronic fields – or – a two (2) year associate degree in electronics with two years of related experience and/or training.
- Must be able to work a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
- Analytical tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, process calibrators and meters, transducers, thermocouples, load cells, transmitters, flow meters, pressure gauges, and torque tools.
- Hardware including DC power supplies, relays, pumps, valves, filters, regulators, analog and digital I/O boards, signal conditioning, stepping and servo motors, silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCRs), variable speed AC and DC motor drives, heat exchangers, and PLCs.
- Communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, HART, Ethernet, and wireless devices.
- Up to 480 VAC 3-phase power equipment and wiring.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Effectively communicate with production team members on process information.
- Coach and train other maintenance team members.
- Present information clearly and respond professionally to questions from managers, clients, customers, and other public groups.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Compute rate, slope, intercept, ratio, and percent and interpret data graphs.
- Solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Work location is indoors, outdoors, below ground, and on elevated areas.
- Temperature ranges from 30°F to 100°F.
- Walk distances of over 1 mile.

- Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Frequently bend, sit, stand, reach, walk, squat, kneel, climb, and stand on the manufacturing floor.
- Required:
Technical/other training as an Electrician or Electronic Technology.
