MNC CNC Machinist Position
The CNC Machinist contributes to the production of medical devices by operating multi‑axis CNC machines and managing tasks across multiple machines.
Key Responsibilities- Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously, including lathes, mills, and plunge machines.
- Monitor machine performance to ensure proper program execution.
- Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
- Create offsets and adjustments to machines under moderate supervision.
- Advocate for health and safety of self, co‑workers, customers, and the community.
- Support quality and compliance by following Quality Management System procedures, work instructions, and forms.
- Complete all required training.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
- Lean Manufacturing experience (Preferred).
- Experience in medical device manufacturing (Preferred).
- At least 1 year operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment (Preferred).
- Independent operation of CNC mills or lathes (Required).
- Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, and indicators (Required).
- Reading basic blueprints (Required).
- Machining trade school education (Preferred).
- Problem solving.
- Machine set‑up.
- Visual quality assurance.
- GD&T.
- Blueprint reading.
- Information processing.
- Quality inspection and metrology tools.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Handwriting (basic).
- Data entry.
- Mathematical ability.
- Remain stationary: frequently.
- Move around building: occasionally.
- Move equipment: occasionally.
- Position oneself under/around/over equipment: occasionally.
- Communicate and exchange information with others: constantly.
- Perform repetitive handling/adjusting/inspecting/positioning of items: frequently.
- Distinguish and detect information such as writing and defects: frequently.
- Noise: frequently.
