About The FunctionSupply Chain & Manufacturing is where our brands are made, moved, and delivered worldwide. This complex, large‑scale operation spans more than 100 sites and integrates production, logistics, engineering, and supplier partnerships.
AboutThe Role
Responsible for managing day‑to‑day production across multiple lines, ensuring safety, quality, staffing, and budget objectives are met. Directly oversees 15–25 operators/mechanics, balancing multiple priorities under pressure.
Purpose of Role- Manage the day‑to‑day production requirements, safety, quality, staffing, and departmental budgets.
- Provide business leadership to ensure the team meets or exceeds Manufacturing Excellence metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement and employee engagement, applying Manufacturing Excellence tools.
- Optimize efficiencies, reduce labour costs, and improve throughput while minimizing labour usage.
- Supervisory responsibilities:
train employees, plan and assign work, appraise performance, reward, discipline, motivate, resolve conflict, schedule vacations, and verify payroll sheets. - Ensure efficient production, safety, quality, and cost objectives through continuous improvement and employee involvement.
- Plan and implement key initiatives to improve bottling/warehousing operations.
- Maintain production databases and use information for continuous improvement.
- Support all safety and food‑safety audits; complete corrective action items.
- Generate ideas and implement process and equipment changes to increase efficiency, safety, and quality, while reducing costs.
- Adhere to critical objectives and assess impact on long‑term goals.
- Share best practices, embrace change, and adopt ideas introduced by others.
- Build and maintain relationships that motivate and guide team performance.
- Co‑coach and develop self and others for current and future roles.
- Follow GMP, Master Sanitation Schedule, and Food Safety Regulations; keep area updated with 5S.
- 4‑year Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering.
- Experience in high‑speed bottling plant/warehousing operations in a best‑in‑class manufacturing environment with GMPs.
- Thorough knowledge of high‑speed bottling activities – machine operations, changeovers, start‑ups, shut‑downs, package quality.
- Proven ability to diagnose, design, and implement improvements in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of TTB and state regulations for alcohol beverage production is a plus.
- Manufacturing Excellence experience: 5S, Center‑lining, SMED.
