Job Summary: Provide electro-mechanical repair services for industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, gear boxes, and related equipment.

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt

• Observe and adhere to Jay Industrial Repair safety procedures.
• Maintain Jay Industrial Repair quality standards.
• Test equipment and perform vibration analysis to identify and troubleshoot motor failure.
• Disassemble and clean electro-mechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition.
• Develop and requisition detailed list of parts needed for repair.
• Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies, including but not limited to mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, clutch rotors, tachs, fans, etc.
• Retest equipment to ensure proper output is achieved.
• Balance rotors and fans.
• Operate burn off and bake ovens.

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a mechanic, skilled in assembly and disassembly of AC/DC Electric motors.
• Significant mechanical knowledge and/or experience.
• Highly motivated self-performer with good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills.
