Position: Composite Technician I

Location: Mobile, AL

• Objectively self‑inspect work, finished parts, and components as required.
• Maintain written records and work logs in accordance with FAA, EASA, and TCAA requirements.
• Read and interpret common and accepted blueprint/drawing types.
• Perform composite repairs (molds, wet and prepreg lay‑up, re‑work/repair of existing structures) as directed.
• Use measuring devices/tools to ensure adherence to requested part/component documentation.
• Adhere to policies regarding accurate recording of completed work and work‑in‑progress.
• Assist with housekeeping, lifting, pushing, and pulling activities.
• Maintain acceptable on‑hand stock quantities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some form of Technical/Professional/Vocational Training in composites (apprenticeship, institutional training, etc.).
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with aerospace or equivalent composites (shipyard, supplier, etc.).
• 1+ year of experience in aerospace (preferred but not required).
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, communicating). Second language (French, Spanish, German) preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs (23kg) occasionally.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Ability to visually inspect parts/components and read small numbers.
• Ability to climb stairs or ladders as required.
• Ability to walk on uneven floor/terrain for extended periods.
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work on boom or scissor lifts for extended periods.
• Ability to work in confined spaces safely and frequently.
