Airbus is looking for an A220 Ground Test Inspector (Contract) to join our Manufacturing team in Mobile, Alabama.

The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities help assemble the finest aircraft in the world, along two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft. On ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

• Prepare the aircraft and workstation surroundings for the test on various avionics and systems, in a safe environment.
• Perform function tests on all systems (flight controls, navigation, passenger entertainment, etc.) in parallel to the assembly of the aircraft.
• Prepare, coordinate, and perform troubleshooting, with responsible engineering teams, on aircraft systems and test system environments.
• Organize documentation of any non-conformity in the SAP NC system and initiate associated retests (Repeat Test Instruction) after finalization of rework.
• Clarify and improve test instructions and test systems with appropriate engineering teams.

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma/ GED 5 years aviation experience within avionics systems, including troubleshooting aircraft systems.
• The ability to successfully complete the following trainings provided by Airbus after recruitment:
  Health & Safety General aircraft familiarization Quality Training Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of application tools and in application techniques.
