• Evaluate and monitor patients in an ICU setting.
• Provide direct care to patients in life‑threatening situations, documenting and providing physician‑directed care.
• Assess and implement patient care plans, delegating to other providers as appropriate.
• Provide education and support to patient families, including long‑term care needs.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests; take samples, order lab work, and interpret reports.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting electronic displays.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing.
• Communicate patient conditions to family members.

ICU nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 50 pounds as required.

• ACLS, BLS, NIH certificates.
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current RN license.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
