Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced Level II Trauma environment. The role requires the ability to handle multi-system trauma cases, cardiac events, and a wide range of patient presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer care for multi-system trauma, STEMI, stroke, CHF, COPD, and other conditions.
- Assist with patient management including trach care, vent care, and ICU drips.
- Maintain proficiency in using Cerner EMR, secure and track medications using Omnicell, and handle Plum 360 IV pumps.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; TNCC and NIHSS required.
- 2 years of critical care experience in a Level II ER with experience in Cerner or Epic EMR systems preferred.
- Ability to perform technical skills including trach care, vent management, and proficiency with art lines and CVLs.
