Nurse Practitioner – Internal Medicine physician employment in Alabama. We are a large physician-owned group expanding in Montgomery, AL, offering an opportunity to join our internal medicine team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to SNF patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Manage patients with orthopedic rehab needs, post-stroke care, and chronic pain conditions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Alabama.
  • Active DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an NP (SNF, geriatrics, internal medicine, or inpatient hospitalist).
  • Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in an SNF setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute care experience.
  • Background in internal medicine, geriatrics.
  • Experience with orthopedic, stroke, or pain management patients.
Schedule & Setting
  • Monday through Friday.
  • No nights, no weekends.
  • Skilled Nursing Facility setting.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • May be exposed to blood borne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
  • Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirements.
  • Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
