Nurse Practitioner – Internal Medicine physician employment in Alabama. We are a large physician-owned group expanding in Montgomery, AL, offering an opportunity to join our internal medicine team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive medical care to SNF patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Manage patients with orthopedic rehab needs, post-stroke care, and chronic pain conditions.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR.
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Alabama.
- Active DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an NP (SNF, geriatrics, internal medicine, or inpatient hospitalist).
- Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations.
- Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills.
- Comfortable working independently in an SNF setting.
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute care experience.
- Background in internal medicine, geriatrics.
- Experience with orthopedic, stroke, or pain management patients.
- Monday through Friday.
- No nights, no weekends.
- Skilled Nursing Facility setting.

Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- May be exposed to blood borne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
- Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirements.
- Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
