Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) shall be responsible for the general supervision and coordination of nursing personnel on shift, weekends, and holidays, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care. The RN utilizes the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions, and collaborates with physicians and other clinicians in the planning and implementation of patient care. Additional duties may be assigned within scope.
Qualifications- Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
- Active RN licensure required; BLS required; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending on area assigned.
- Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection control standards.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
Physical Requirements
Position requires sitting 20% of the day and mobility 80% of the day. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Frequent reaching, use of hands, repetitive action. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds or pushes/pulls up to 150 pounds. Requires clear diction and hearing. Continuous visual acuity. Exposure to computers, risk of electrical shock, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
