Ally Psychiatry is seeking a full‑time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing behavioral health team in Montgomery, Alabama. This unique position provides a blend of crisis stabilization, residential psychiatry, and hospital consultation services while working alongside experienced psychiatrists and behavioral health professionals.

The PMHNP will provide psychiatric services across multiple behavioral health locations in the Montgomery area, including:
Crisis Residential Units (CRUs)- Provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and treatment planning
- Round at three Crisis Residential Units approximately twice weekly
- Perform additional visits as needed for admissions, medication adjustments, and urgent clinical needs
- Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and case management teams
- Conduct psychiatric consults at Baptist Medical Center East
- Review and evaluate new psychiatric consults generated overnight
- Provide recommendations regarding psychiatric treatment and disposition planning
- Coordinate care with medical and behavioral health teams
- Participate in a shared call schedule consisting of:
- One night of call per week
- One weekend of coverage per month
- Coverage responsibilities include:
- SCAMH
- Carastar Crisis Center
- Crisis Residential Units
- Baptist East consult services
- Rounding at Mizell (telemed)
Most call coverage may be performed via telepsychiatry, providing flexibility while maintaining high-quality patient care.

- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program
- Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Active Alabama license or ability to obtain
- DEA license or ability to obtain
- Experience in inpatient psychiatry, crisis stabilization, emergency psychiatry, or community mental health preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills
