Job Summary:Join the Pediatric Clinical Research Coordination team, supporting clinical research across multiple divisions in the Department of Pediatrics. This unique opportunity involves coordinating clinical research studies, including recruitment, screening, enrollment, and ensuring protocol compliance. The Research Nurse works closely with pediatric faculty, nurses, and staff to manage studies ranging from industry‑partnered to investigator‑initiated trials.
Full- or part‑time (90‑100%). Some duties may be performed on‑site or remotely, as needed.
KeyJob Responsibilities:
- May provide expertise, training, and guidance to the community, peers, and/or students.
- Serves as primary point of contact for emergent study participant situations related to adverse effects or complications.
- Supervises day‑to‑day activities of research work units.
- Collects, verifies, and enters data into the database and analyzes clinical information data.
- Acts as main liaison to participants, investigators, research sponsors, and the research team, delivering study information per established standards and protocols.
- Provides appropriate treatment plan direction and information to study participants.
- Provides professional nursing care to patients according to established protocols.
- Assists in recruitment and screening of subjects for clinical studies, including physical health assessments.
- Secures and schedules logistics for clinical research projects per the research plan.

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is a vibrant academic department comprising more than 230 faculty members across 16 subspecialty divisions. The department promotes child health through clinical care, education, research, and advocacy. Since 2015, the department has ranked among the Top 20 pediatrics departments for NIH funding.
Compensation:Salary range: $72,500–$80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Experience in a clinical research role.
- Experience working with the pediatric population.
- Experience with research data collection and/or sample processing.
- Experience utilizing platforms such as Health Link, and other electronic medical record systems, Microsoft Office Suite, REDCap, OnCore, and Google Drive.
- Clinical Research Certification or Clinical Research Nurse Certification (e.g., CCRP, CCRC, CCRA, or ACRP‑CP).
- Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in nursing required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) License required by the start date.
