Location:

Per Diem – Montgomery, AL area. This Part‑Time Per Diem Infusion Nurse role involves seeing patients in their homes or infusion suites. Work location may change based on business needs.

• Insert, monitor, and remove IVs used to give medications, blood products, and nutrition to patients.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during IV therapy and ensure tubing, bandages, and needle remain secure.
• Perform venous phlebotomy when necessary.
• Obtain vital signs, complete physical assessment and review of systems, document all patient‑related activities, and record medication administrations.
• Coordinate and communicate all aspects of staffing services, scheduling, and related patient information with company directors, nursing coordinator, and the director of nursing.
• Document nursing care, complete nursing notes, and ensure accuracy and completeness of nurse reports.
• Schedule and confirm nursing visits, send schedules via email to team members, and follow up on therapy admin reports.
• Review nurse notes for content and accuracy, ensuring drug dosing and administration times are recorded.
• Communicate ongoing patient status, problems, or special needs to supervisors, field personnel, agencies, and referring MDs.
• Input and manage scheduling and reporting functions within the hospital's nursing computer system.
• Train patients and caregivers on home infusion administration, monitoring of IV or PICC lines, and basic home care practices.
• Drive to patient residences or other health care facilities as required and maintain a professional and compassionate approach.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and audits as directed.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience.
• IV certification and experience in central line care and management.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Experience in home care, critical care, emergency nursing, advanced ICU, or hospital discharge planning.
• Experience with staffing coordination and the ability to multi‑task.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RN license in other states preferred.
• Experience with PICC/Port/Midline placement and certification is preferred.

Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds. Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Pay range: $45 — $60 USD.
