Travel RN - Interventional Radiology​/IR - Interventional Radiology

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring ICU care skills, moderate sedation experience, and NIHSS certification.

• //post bays and 2 procedural suites within a Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and Primary Stroke Center
• Handles outpatient and inpatient procedures including biopsies, UFEs, kyphoplasties, port placements, diagnostic angiograms, interventional arterial and venous procedures, IVC placement, venous and neurological thrombectomies, coilings, aneurysm rupture repair, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Patient ratios are 1:1 in procedure rooms and up to 1:3 in pre/post areas
• Uses Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors
• Unit operates for routine procedures Monday through Friday 6:30am-4:30pm and is available for emergencies 24/7
• Schedule options include four 10-hour shifts per week with a rotating day off (6:30am-4:30pm) or three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating days off
• Requires 1 night of call per week and call every 5th weekend, with two RNs on call covering IR and Neuro call when the department is closed
• Floating limited to other procedural areas where skillset applies, such as cath lab pre/post area
• Provide direct patient care during interventional radiology procedures under charge nurse support
