Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that automotive components and processes meet internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry regulations. This position supports the execution and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS), conducts inspections and audits, assists in problem‑solving activities, and works closely with cross‑functional teams to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement in compliance with OEM and industry standards such as IATF 16949.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer‑specific requirements.
  • Perform quality inspections, audits, and monitoring activities for products, processes, and documentation.
  • Assist with internal, customer, and third‑party audits and support timely closure of audit findings.
  • Collect, monitor, and analyze quality data and KPIs (e.g., PPM, First Pass Yield, Scrap Rates).
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities for quality issues.
  • Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to address quality concerns and improve processes.
  • Support supplier quality activities, including issue tracking and corrective action follow‑up.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation.
  • Perform other quality‑related duties as assigned.
Skills / Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role, preferably in manufacturing or automotive environments.
  • Working knowledge of quality standards and Core Tools (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, CAPA).
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with QMS or ERP systems.
Education / Training / Experience
  • Certification in Quality Assurance or Quality Control (e.g., Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt, ASQ certification).
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or OEM‑related environments.
  • Familiarity with customer‑specific requirements and documentation.
  • Experience of part quality assurance and new part approval.
